
| Harrison College is the premier co-educational school in Barbados. Founded in 1733, |
| the College takes its name from Thomas Harrison, a Bridgetown merchant, who |
| intended it to serve as “A Public and free School for poor and indigent boys of the |
| parish." Harrison College remained an all-boys school until September 1980 when |
| co-education was introduced. The school caters to students aged eleven to eighteen years. |
